-Shy. I say what's on my mind.
-Rude. I'm from Alabama, so when I *do* say what's on my mind, it's carefully considered and *may* start with "Bless your heart..."
-Insecure. I happen to know I'm a catch. Not because of what I've accomplished, what I look like, or what I own. I guarantee there are other women out there that have done more, are drop-dead gorgeous, and live in mansions, etc. That's ok with me. I know my inner worth. I'm the girl who loves to make others laugh, speaks fluent sarcasm, stops to pet dogs on the street (after asking, of course), loves to learn languages so I can hear stories without needing a translator, and will find a solution to damn near every challenge. I have grit, and I don't give up.
-A biped. Well, not most of the time. I use a wheelchair to get around most days due to Cerebral Palsy. CP is a balance disability (there's no paralysis), which means I can stand up and walk holding onto something, but I would probably not be the best tango partner without my chair. I've always wanted to try wheelchair dancing, though, so let me know if you're up for it.
-Pessimistic. I do my best to laugh through life and believe my purpose is to be an unfettered force of light in the world--to help myself and others see more love than fear.
-Childless. I have part-time custody of my 6-year-old son and he's the best (tiny) person in my life. He loves trying to play guitar and (more successfully) drums.
-Impatient. In general and when it comes to relationships. Things happen at exactly the right time when I listen and co-create with God/the universe. Impatience is fear in controlling clothing.
My partner should be:
Someone who loves to make others laugh, but not at the expense of putting people down.
Someone who's intelligent, yet humble enough to know he doesn't know everything (and respects non-academic knowledge).
Someone with Southern sensibilities (manners, thinking of others first, etc) even if they're not Southern.
Someone for whom creativity is an essential part of life. Writing, making music, welding, forming sculptures. Whatever you create, you know you must in order to express yourself and share.
Someone who's (eventually) looking for a serious relationship. While I'm sex positive and advocate for everyone living the way they want, I'm looking for someone to connect with on an intellectual, emotional, and physical level. Not interested in hookups or casual relationships at this point in my life.
Physically, someone with dark hair and either blue or green eyes. I get lost in eyes.
