I love to read, watch entirely too much TV (especially lots of Sciency 'nerd' TV), I'm a history and trivia buff. I love trying new things and I've traveled a lot. I collect mid-century 'retro' EVERYTHING. My house is starting to look like a museum of the 50's. I'm sort of romantic, becoming more so the older I get. I'm definitely an optimist.

I am currently recovering from a stroke (just a random thing - I've never been overweight or smoked), and I'm now out of the wheelchair and using the walker. My memory, senses and intelligence and appearance were unaffected. You can't tell by looking at me (all of my posted pics are recent). It seems lot of guys automatically hit 'next' when they get to this part of my profile - and I don't want to come across as conceited or pretentious when I say this, but I think those guys are missing out on a WHOLE LOT. So I have a little trouble walking. What's the big deal? Unrelated - I am also HIV positive with undetectable status.

I'm certainly no 'goody two shoes', but I do not lie, cheat, or steal - like most of the guys I've met in Dallas. I think I've been looking in the wrong places! I'm honest to a fault sometimes, but I'm working on that. I unexpectedly lost my husband of 11 years almost 8 years ago, and have been more than ready to share that kind of love and trust with someone else for the rest of my life. I was waiting for love to 'just happen' for me, like a lot of single guys do - but now I'm taking the bull by the horns, and putting a lot more effort into it.
If I'm online you can sometimes find me in the disabled chat room for this site. Oh - I don't respond to completely blank profiles. If you wanna be faceless at first I'm OK with that, but say SOMETHING at least.
